ppt 2008 to dvd WITH TRANSITIONS

I have spent hours reading on how to save ppt to dvd -- and it appears that
there is no way to save the transitions on Mac OS X. I see lots of software
for PCs. I do not want to have to create individual slides for each
transition I have on every slide. Please direct me to software that I can
use to be able to transfer my ppt or pps or pptx or ppsx to a dvd and
maintain transitions. I tried saving as movie. no transitions were saved --
same thing when saving as .htm. I tried converting it with VisualHub and it
did not recognize the program.

Thanks!

Hi,

When the built-in Make Movie feature is inadequate, then it's time for
outside help. Screen capture software, such as Ambrosia's SnapZPro can
capture the entire presentation. You'll need to play the presentation in
a window (Slideshow > Set up Show > Present in window)

Thanks for your reply -- how fast! I have "pop-up bubbled" and fade-in
pictures on pictures so the slides are layered so . . .

Here's what I did (what a pain)

1. imported the ppt into keynote
2. verified (and fixed some) of the timed pop-ups that were several on one
slide
3. exported it as a Quicktime movie
4. imported it into iMovie
5. shared it with iDVD
6. burned it
7. played it on TV - it works!

phew! I am tired!

Your solution is good because in iMovie and iDVD you can have more fun
with the presentation. I think of PowerPoint, iMovie, and iDVD as a
powerful combination. Each has some very handy tools. As a group they
offer a lot nice possibilities.
