Prevent newsletter going straight to junk

Henry

Hi, I am trying to send a newsletter from publisher by email but everyone I
send it to gets it in their junk box no matter what subject line I use. All
other mail is going through ok. Any clues??

I don't think it has to do with the subject you give your email. It is the
attachment... Send the newsletter via PDF.

One thought: Are you loading the address field with a bunch of recipients?
If so it may be getting flagged by spam filters. Try sending a copy
addressed to one recipient only & see if they still have it junked.

Junk mail filters generally work on the receiving end - your outgoing server
& your local client don't mark your own outgoing mail as junk :) It could
have something to do with the HTML content as well, but, again, that's
controlled by the junk/spam filters in the recipient's setup.

Either way they should be able to mark it as "not junk" in order to prevent
the same thing happening to future editions.

Henry,

Have these people subscribed to your newsletter? Or are you sending it
to people and hoping they will view it?

I personally think that unless someone subscribes to a newsletter, they
all ought to go into the junk box. And the sender ought to have his
computer confiscated and trashed.
