I want to allow the user to visit another page to get information
needed to fill in a certain field in
a form. If that field is half way through the form the user will have
filled in a bunch of the fields
when he needs to follow a link or navigation button to the information
page. Then, he will
want to go back and pick up where he left off. Only problem is he will
find that all his previous work
has disappeared. Is there a way to prevent this automatic "clear the
form upon entry?" There must be,
because it doesn't happen if one uses the browser Back and Forward
buttons.
I did read at http://irt.org/script/form.htm about opening a new
window with a linked page in it, i.e., a Pop Up. I suppose
that would do it, but I know that many people use Pop Up blockers
these days, so I'd like to avoid that if
possible.
TIA
