Preview pdf document

When I receive a document with a pdf attachtment I would like to
preview this attachment in the reading pane without opening it. Is this
possible?

No. At some point in the future you will be able to with Outlook 2007 and
the proper filters installed.

Assuming that Adobe (or someone else) will write a PDF preview filter
for Outlook 2007. Microsoft will not provide one.

There will be filters for all popular files types by the time it officially
RTMs in Feb.... you can count on it.
