Print Color not True

S

Silver

A fill color that I used did not print as the color on the screen.
Specifically, an aqua color on the screen printed as a more true blue. Any
suggestions?

Thank you,

Silver

Colors can change appearance from monitor to monitor, just as they can from
printer to printer. The only way I know would be to create a sheet of shapes
filled with the color you think you want and then tweak the color until it
prints the color you wanted.

Or you can spend a weekend or two trying to set your monitor's gamma
correctly (have a big bottle of eyedrops and a case of beer handy) - that
will help too.

The eyedrops may help but I have a feeling that by the time there are 22
empties beside your computer, you won't give a s**t about the colors any
more. ;-)

Thats the whole point. I tried getting my gamma as close as possible and it
drove me insane for days, I finally gave up. I may buy one of those spider
thingies you stick on the monitor to set the gamma.

It's a reader thing that suction cups to your monitor and a software gizmo
that works with it to help ya setup the gamma when you're done you
disconnect it. Lemme see if I can find the real name...it aint cheap but I
think if you want your screen color to match more better its probably the
only sane method of adjusting gamma.
