print preview and save appear different than woking page

When I'm woking with pub'07 the edit view looks fine but when I look at the
work on the Print Preview it's spread across two pages. I'm using the
correct paper size and of couse it will save this way also. How do I get the
document not to separate into two pages. It looks like there are huge
margins but the doc isn't set up with huge margins. when i used pub'03 i
didn't have this issue.
thanks for you help

Are you using a different size stock than plain vanilla letter? Are you setting
up your printer for the size stock you are using? It is important to do this
first.

Publisher 2007 page setup can be a challenge.

Create your publication. If you want a true print preview go to File, Print, you
will have to setup your page again on this screen, click print preview on the
corner. It should preview correctly without the tiling and if you go ahead and
print it will print correctly. You can cancel out and go back to the publication
screen.

thank you that works great!
However I'm wondering about opting out of the "default?" tileing option in
the print page setup and use "legal" in this case as a "default". Then when I
save the document I'll always have "legal" as the default? Seems appropriate
to be able to select the "print preview" on the edit page and see the result
rather than go through the extra steps suggested (which work fine, just
looking to minimize a bit here) thanks for you help.

If you setup your printer to legal after you select page setup there should be
no tiling in print preview.

The only way legal would be default is if you setup it that way in the Printer
Folder in the control panel. You certainly wouldn't want to change it there, it
would affect all of your programs.
