When opening a Publisher 2000 document if the default printer had changed a
warning message would popup informing the user of this and the current
printer would be used.
"The printerselected for this publication, "Printername", cannot be
initialized or is not installed on the system. Publisher will change the
publication printer to "Newprintername" instead."
This was very handy in a networked environment when the user might not
always be at the same station. In Publisher 2003 this feature seems to of
disappeared so if the user doesn't manually change the printer each time the
document prints to the wrong printer (even if only one printer is installed),
when network printers are used this can cause users documents to print in the
wrong office even though the current printer is selected in the File - Print
menu.
Will this warning message return in Office 2007 or is there a way to make
2003 produce this warning?
