I'm trying to print multiple copies of an envelope. I have tried going to File > Print, and selecting page 0 and the number of copies, but I still only get one envelope.
Hi, achicken. Turn off background printing in Word by clicking on Tools | Options | Print | uncheck the "Background printing" box. Turn off print spooling and/or advanced text services in Windows by clicking on Start | Control Panel | Printers | <right-click on your printer> | Properties.
OK- I turned off background printing and print spooling. Before I could hit 'print' Word locked up on me, and the computer that's directly connected to the printer (I'm on a home network) screen went black and an odd looking message that says "Information: Out of scan range" came up.... now it's stuck on that screen?
If it helps i'm using XP and printing to a HP K60.
Reboot both computers and try to print again. What happens? If both computers still crash, then undo the two changes I suggested. Changing these two settings often fixes the problem of not being able to print multiple copies, and I haven't seen these settings cause a computer to crash before, but it's possible they are not behaving as expected because of something in your network configuration.
