Printing multiple objects

I've got a flowchart in PowerPoint that has a lot of overlapping objects. The
objects on top mask the objects below them onscreen, but when I print, the
objects below are clearly visible. How do I set it up so those objects are
masked when printed as they are onscreen?

Thanks!

If you are printing in black and white you need to adjust your
grayscale/black & white settings.

Got to:
View > Color/Grayscale . Choose Pure Black & White.
Select the item that you don't want showing when you print.
In your Black & White View Toolbar select Settings
Choose Grayscale or Don't Show

I like using the Color/Grayscale view to see what things will look like when
printing.

So is there no way to print objects without the objects underneath showing
through? I am more experienced with PowerPoint 2000 and 2002 and I know those
printed fine. But now all the objects underneath show through. This is making
PowerPoint useless to me.
