printing on read paper

I am trying to print a publisher presentation and I can on white paper.
HOwever when I print it on the same size red paper it comes up with a paper
size error and cancels the print. I have a hp photosmart 7960

Have you also tried posting this questions to HP. I suspect that it
is a printer driver issue.

In addition to checking with HP, consider the following guesses.

Is the red paper weight within the printer's specifications?
Some HP printers have a setting to automatically sense the type of
paper. If your printer has the paper type set to Automatic, the red color
may be confusing the printer sensor. If so, try setting the paper type to
Plain Paper.
