Priority setting

In my project file I have a number of main tasks using the same resources.
There are 3 sub tasks to complete for each main task. These sub tasks must be
completed in order and are prioritised so that task 1 is always performed
before any task 2 or 3 and any task 2 is performed before task 3. I then want
the first task to complete task 1 to complete task 2 and task 3 first. At
initial setup this can be done but if the start dates change then the the
first task 1 is not always the first task to finish task 3.
Is it possible to make the priority setting a calculated number related some
how to the start date of the task.

Are any of the tasks linked to one another? If so, how?

have you tried setting a finish-to-start predecessor? unless i am reading
this wrong, that is what you are looking for. If your finish date on task
one slips, the start and finish date of task two will move in concert.
