Problem prinint Pub 2002 file at com. printer...

Dave

I created a tri-fold brochure using Pub 2002 and had used a commercial
printer two years ago with great results. I took the file back to the same
printer who had upgraded to Pub 2003 and the text would run off the bottem of
the text boxes. I did edit some of the text but he tried my original file he
had stored with the same results.
I went on line and used Adobe to convert it to a .pdf file and it came
back with the text expanded outside the text boxes also.
I tried to download and install the program from www.primopdf.com but
it had problems installing it on my computer.
The brochure is very detailed and will be very time consuming to redo.

What needs to be done for me to get my 2002 file printed at a commercial
printer?
Is there something I can do without spending a lot of money, or is there
something my printer can do to make this work?
Thanks for your answers.

Try running Design Checker on your file. Sometimes that catches things that
can screw up .pdf files.

I'll try that but I do not think that will fix my problem. It seems to be an
issue between the 2002 created file and Pub 2003. The original file printed
great. The publisher file I took to the printer was not a .pdf file and his
Pub 2003 program changed the format, ie enlarged the print slightly, so the
text flowed out of the box. This was the same problem I had with the Adobe
file, in fact both files had the same changes.

Are you using the exact same printer and driver version?

I use a commercial printing business, Flash Print, here in town. I know
their printer is the same one used on previous print jobs. I will be heading
over there soon and will ask them.

They are using the exact same printer and exact same driver version.
We also tried the Format, AutoFit, Shrink text on Overflow (and Best Fit).
Neither worked.
I will try another printer and see if I get the same results.
