Problem with Daemon

Each time I start up my Mac the Microsoft Database Daemon updates my
Entourage 2008 (12.2.1) database (which takes a couple of minutes). I
understand the database needs to be updated for a major upgrade of
Entourage, but why does the Daemon want to update the database each time I
start up? As far as I remembered, the problem began to show up after the
last upgrade of Entourage 2008 to version 12.2.1 I have just one version of
Entourage installed on my Mac. I have not found anything relevant on The
Entourage Help Page. Any idea? Thanks.

Yes, deleting the Preferences file (com.microsoft.Entourage.prefs) solved my
problem. Thank you very much for your suggestion.
