You also could highlight all the text, Format, paragraph, line spacing, before
paragraph 0pt, after paragraph 0pt.

Thanks, Steve. I'll give this a try

You can try "find and replace".

In the "find" box, type two spaces,

In the "replace" box, type one space or no(?) space,

click "replace all"

=============================

I do this often with articles that are submitted by many different
people for newsletters I do. Some peeps tend to have double spaces after
every sentence, and this takes care of that...

Hi Steve

We are having the same problem with one paragraph in a text box. Only the
last line is double spacing. We have checked the paragraph formats & they are
ok. Also, we tried the find and replace. It only found one double space and
did not fix the problem. This text was not copied in but was typed. We can't
see anything in the background that would be causing this problem. Any
suggestions?

Check to see if Format menu, paragraph, indents and spacing tab, line
spacing section is set to 0pt. The default is set to 6pt on my
version.

Have you turned on the Special Characters? Are you certain there is 0pt before
and after the paragraph? The Design Checker might give you clues.
