Problems occur after inserting picture in Word 2003

After I insert a 25.9kb picture into Word 2003 the program becomes sluggish,
and stability of picture begins to fade!!!!!!!

Look into upgrading your video driver.
Try this, slide the acceleration down on your adapter, control panel, display folder,
settings tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab...
If this solves your issue, go to the manufacturer's web site of your video (graphics)
card and look around for an update.
