I have Office XP Professional loaded on Windows XP Professional. I have
Outlook configured to connect to the Internet using my dial up connection.
I have Windows SP2 loaded and originally configured the users on this PC to
use Windows Messenger SP2. I use POP3 for email and connect to the Internet
using 56k dial up modem. I also have Ethernet 10/100 Lan for peer to peer
network.
I recently loaded MSN Messenger and now have trouble whenever I log into the
Power User Accounts. It seems that the Power User Accounts are trying to
connect to the Internet using the LAN port. Was I suppose to configure all
other users except for my Administrative account to have Outlook connect
thru LAN instead of having it set to use the dial up modem?
When I first installed Outlook, it configured all users to connect thru the
LAN instead of dialup and I had to change it to dialup. I did have fast
user switching enabled when I installed Outlook. Do I need to rerun the
install for Office? I think it gives me the option to reinstall the entire
suite of Office Applications.
Other users are setup to use their own login screens.
I have been fighting this for sometime now. Please give instructions on how
to properly setup Outlook for multiple users. I do not care about sharing
calendars or contact info.
