problems with office after SP3

Has anyone had misc problems after installing sp3 for
office 2k. I jave had some interesting things happen and
not sure if related to the sp.

ok, on one machine after sp3 it is w2k sp4 with exchange
in outlook when you create a new email you go to the
address book to select a name switch from global to
contacts it freezes nad then closes outlook. I have
uninstalled twice methodically reinstalled the 2nd time I
tested every step of the way. After two it was fine after
3 froze and closed. Any ideas why. It is bezarr to me.
