Progress Lines

Hi,

I have a small querry, When I open the pogress line dialogue box, it has got
options for displaying progress lines in relation to Actual Plan & Baseline
Plan.

Firstly, I dont understand what is "Actual plan" and secondly when I choose
the Baseline plan option, nothing shown I just see a straight line on status
date. I would like to tell you that my programme has been baselined &
resourced. Moreover by choosing Actual Plan I am able to see the cross line
for delayed activities.

Any comments would be appreciated.

The baseline is the baseline that you saved. The "Actual Plan" is how your
plan is currently. The expectation is that your plan will change as you go
along with some tasks finishing earlier or later and dates shifting
accordingly.

Depending on how closely your actual plan follows the baseline the resulting
progress lines will be different.

Thanks Jack, your reply is quite near to my answer. The only thing left is
why the progress line does not indicate delays to any of the activities when
I choose the baseline option?

Thanks in advance.
