Project 2003 doesn't work after install

I just installed an evaluation version of Project 2003. But it doesn't work
properly.

When attempting to create a blank project...

1) When I click on "Select a Date to Schedule From", the date field it shows
cannot be edited.
2) If I click on the next item - "Select Working Times", "Step 1 of 5" seems
to work. I choose "Standard".
3) Then, when I click "Go to Step 2 of 5" the pane simply goes blank.
4) "List the tasks in the Project" does nothing.

I get the same results when I attempt to create a project from a template.

Any ideas?
