Project 2003 vs 2007

My company is currently using the 2003 version and I am wondering if it is
worthwhile to upgrade to the 2007 version. Can anyone tell me about the
differences they have encountered? My company is a small electrical
contractor who uses it for our commercial projects. (By the way, I am a
beginner with this program, and will accept all practical advice about the
nuances of it.) Thank you!

The most useful features I have found in P2007 are:
1. Multiple levels of "undo" .... P2003 has only one level, P2007 is up to
99 (I think)
2. Change highlighting. As you make a schedule change, P2007 highlights the
the ripple effect.
3. Visual Reports. The reporting features in P2007 are much more robust.

There are a lot more changes, but these are the ones I find most useful.
Go to www.microsoft.com/project for additional info. They have a 30 day
free download, so give it a try.

Here's a clip from the website:
The new Office Project 2007 features include:

Background Cell Highlighting
Change Highlighting
Cost Resources
Desktop Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) Cube
Multiple Level Undo
Task Drivers pane
Budget Tracking
Visual Reports

In reality, you may as well purchase the latest version to maximize future
compatability, etc. P2003 is a great tool and I use it daily... given the
choice, I'd fully migrate to P2007 but my customers cannot support it.

Thank you. My curiosity is piqued now so I will download it this weekend and
take a look at it.
