Project levelling

Hi,

I really need help with this, it seems so simple in theory.

I have 2 tasks both with 24 hours work effort

Task 1 starts on day 1 and is spread at 50% alLocation of resource
across 6 days...i.e 4 hours per day for 6 days.

Task 2 starts on day 3, and i want it to use the remaininmg 4 unuse
hours per day, plus a full day on day 7.

It seems logocal and simple, but how do you do it?

Hello Uthall,

The resource leveling command will not do that for you, you need to
handle it. Assign your resource 1 to both tasks at 50% and assigned
24 hours of work. Go to the Resource Usage view and edit the work
assigned on the second to last day of task 2 to 8 hours, enter zero
for the work for the last day. You are manually contouring the
resource's assignment, something that Project will not do for you to
the level of precision that you seek.
