Project Managers Rights to save others PM's Projects

My project managers rights are set such that when PM's are made members of
another PM's project, they can open and save that project. How can I set it
so the can see the project but not save?

PMs should be members of the PM security group

Assign the PM security group to My Personal Projects category. Ensure this
group is not assigned to the My Organisation or My Projects categories.

Create a new security group, say "view all projects" and add all PM's to
this group. Associate this group to the "My Organisation" category and give
it permissions to Open Project and View Project in Project Center.

Follow the principle that user belong to groups which are in turn associated
to categories. Assigning user to categories will needlessly complicate your
security model.

I can't respond to your post about copy default pm permissions directly !!!!

When you create a new group, make use of the PM security template to apply
the global permissions.
