Project Split or Delay tasks

I have a situation where I need to have a split in work. I have a two week
task that will be interrupted for 3 days. However, I will still be 25%
allocated on the first task and 75% on the second task. I am having trouble
trying to make this work. I am happy for some help.

Hello rwhrangers,

You can edit the number of hours of work per day using either the task
usage view or the resource usage view. The assignment unit will show
75% after editing as it always shows the highest assignment unit. Is
there a particular reason why you are not just creating two tasks
linked Finish to Start with a 3 day lag?

No reason for not using the lag. The method you suggest works just fine and
seems to be cleaner. just couldn't think of using the resource usage sheet.
