Project task descriptions missing

Hi,

I'm using Project 2003 professional. I have a largish plan (>1200 tasks)
however I can no longer see the task name under the heading task that I have.
All other details on the task remain (resources, start / end dates etc).

I have no idea what happened. Can anyone help?

Hello Fergus,
May be you reduced by mistake the Name column width to zero: check the Table
definition :
View / Table / More tables.. / Modify

No - the task name column still appears as usual and I can see header tasks,
but no subtasks

Hi Fergus,

Pardon me for jumping in.....when you click on one of the "missing" subtasks
in the Task Name field, do you see the name of the task appearing in the
Entry bar above? I am *guessing* that somehow the task name font was changed
to white...but this is only a guess.

I have seen this before - do you still have the +/- sign, but no text. If so
the best I could come up with that it was confined to a particular laptop.
Same plans on a desktop were fine, plans with a different laptop were fine.
We rebuilt the laptop and the problem went away.
