Protecting folders

Can anyone direct me on where or how to password protect an MS folder? I
want to protect anything that we put into the folder, allow others to view &
print the materials but not alter them. Thanks.

You can't password-protect a folder from within any Microsoft
Office application. But see:

righ click on the folder and go to properties...set permissions ther
for other users and you can do that by ID also
