My domain administrator delete my AD account from our domain by
accident. They added me back a few days later. Well I had a copy of
the PST Backup utility installed. When they added me back to the
domain, a NEW profile was created for me. The new profile did not
include the PST backup utility. When I tried to reinstall the utility,
I get these errors:
1. Setup has detected that you already have a version of Personal
Folders
Backup installed on this machine. Before this download can be
installed you
must first uninstall the previous version. To uninstall, please answer
yes
to the next question. <OK>
2. Are you sure you want to uninstall this product? <YES/NO>
3. This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.
<OK>
4. To install this download, please uninstall the previous version of
Personal Folders Backup using the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel.
<OK>
.... Needless to say I have tried that, and the "previous version" is
not
there... there is no "previous version". The install process leaves
no error in the event log, and neither does the uninstall process. Is
their anyway for me to remove the PST backup utility so I can reinstall
the application? Any help greatly
appreciated.
