PST problems after migrating to SAN

We recently moved the file server that holds our users
PST files over to a SAN. Now, some users are reporting
that they get an error when Outlook tries to locate their
PST file. The only way we have been able to correct the
problem is to repair install Office. We are running
Outlook 2003 and Windows XP. Ideas? Suggestions?

Microsoft doesn't support accessing PST files over a LAN or WAN connection.
It can lead to data corruption and performance problems. How many users do
you have? Exchange server might be a good fit for you.

Thanks for the info. We are in the process of making the
cutover to Exchange now. Hopefully this will speed up
the process... :)
