Pub2003 doesn't communicate with pub2000

I edit a magazine in Pub2000. The co-editor recently installed Pub2003 and
now I can't open his attachments. Short of my updating (I really don't want
to spend the $$), is there any fix for this failure to communicate?

Your co-editor can do a Save As Publisher 2000. However, this will cause
formatting loss, and if you fix it, it will probably be lost again when your
co-editor opens the file. So it's not really that much of a fix.

The best solution is to upgrade to a concurrent version. Publisher 2002
uses the same file format, so you could get that on eBay instead and
overcome the format barrier.

Thanks, Ed. I'll try that!
