Publisher 2000 email attachment saves to Image File

Publisher 2000 Email attachement when saved to the desktop changes to Image
File Format. When I try to change, using Open With, select publisher 2000 it
will not allow the process to be saved. Other users are able to open the
publisher files with Publisher 2000. I have uninstalled and reinstalled on
this users machine and still have the same issue.

Daryl,

Post your question over in the Pub newsgroups. I'm in the middle of a major
task but maybe Mary or Ed can help you.

John,

Thanks for the update, but I am having difficulty locating the Pub Newsgroup.

Thanks,

Daryl

I finally found this newsgroup "Discussions in Publisher General Questions"
which I hope is the one you are refering to. The TechNet page for newsgroups
for Office lists everything but Publisher.

Thanks,

Daryl

I don't remember seeing the post but that just means my memory has been
fried by the heat.

I live/work in Vermont and heat for us is a killer, looking forward to the
fall/winter season. Yes I posted here first, than to the Office Disscussion
Groups Publisher General Questions which has recieved no replies yet. This
has me stumped so I am hoping for some insight in troubleshooting.

Thanks,

Daryl

I found it and asked a question. Maybe we just need to get some of the
others to notice it and help. We're all getting nailed by the heat one way
to stay cool is to stay away from a computer. ;-)
