Publisher 2002 file trouble

My large publisher files won't open after I delete pages out of them. I have
a couple of files that had around 100 pages. I deleted about 5-10 pages out
of them, and now I get the message "Publisher cannot open the file" whenever
I try to open them. But, I deleted 8 pages out of a file that had 90 pages in
it, and it still opens just fine. Also, I sent the files that would not open
to another computer and they work fine on that computer. Does anyone know
what to do about this?

Before you open your file in Publisher; do this, view, picture, turn off
detailed display.
Is your video driver current? Printer driver?
Publisher 2002 stops responding (hangs) when you try to start or use it
