Publisher 2003 evaluation

I just installed the Publisher 2003 evaluation and it
tells me there are no office assistant characters
installed. I have gone to "Add/Remove Programs",
maintenance mode, and installed all characters and I still
get the same message. What am I missing -- it seems like
this should be so obvious???
