Publisher insert Pictures

Even though the box says all picure format, when I go to
insert a picture file, there is no reconization of jpeg
files, only BMP files. This is publisher 97, on XP, i
encountered this problem before, but can not remember the
fix. Please help

Empty your temp files.

Delete this file (in red)

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\grphflt\JPEGIM32.FLT

and copy a new one directly from your Publisher CD to the same location, or re-install the program.

This and the GIF import filter are known to go corrupt and cause the problem you describe.
