View, pictures, detailed display...
It this doesn't help, slide the acceleration down on your video adapter, control
panel, display, settings tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab. If this does help,
check the manufacturer's web page for an updated video driver.

i have changed the acceleration and still it does not show my pictures.
i can see the clip art images ok.
i can view images in internet explorer ok and i can NOT view images that
have been inserted into a word document.

i have looked at the offical website for my monitor and can not seem to find
a driver for it, i found via a drivers website a driver for all types of my
model, but can not work out how to install it, no setup just a lot of .ICM
ext, files

what do i do with these, i can not find one that has my model number in.

model type: 'iiyama Vision Master pro 410'

model number: A702HT

anyone else have any luck finding a driver?

thank you Mary for your help so far.

Your video driver is not the same as your monitor driver.

You need to go to Start > Right-click on My Computer > Properties > Hardware

i have installed the video driver for my pc, now all seems ok, pictures are
showing

but....

when i right click on an empty part of the desktop i get some lines "can't
find requested string" where the display selections should be.

if i right click an icon or folder on my desktop it shows the correct menu
items.

why do i not get what i should, the display setting, i have installed the
right driver, i think, it says it is.

i got the driver from the intel website.

Does the error have a code number? This is a device issue, not a Publisher problem.
You might try going into safe mode, removing the driver and reinstalling. Check with
the vendor of your computer to be certain you have the correct driver. Do you have a
restore point?
