Publisher Templates

Hello All,

Does anyone know where I can get ahold of some free professional looking
publisher templates?

I have already looked at Office Online and on HP's template site.

If you aren't finding what you want, then it looks like you'd better get
working to create your own templates.

I don't mean to get anyone upset with me but why do people think they can
find *free* professional templates for Publisher or FrontPage? Sure there
are freebies out there but they are usually pretty basic. If you want nicer
ones, they take time to create - and you will have to pay for that time.
That's just the way it is.

I am looking for a place to get ideas, not just a free template to copy.

People most likely ask you for *free* professional templates because many
companies out there provide such items. I am just asking to see if anyone
knows of any other resources besides HP and Office Online to find such
templates.

Actually there lots of free FrontPage templates but few Publisher templates
available. Avery some a few (I think - I know they have Word templates) and
HP, as you mentioned. Did you Google? You may find it helps if you specify
what kind of templates you're looking for. Let's face it - a newsletter
template won't help you if you're looking to make raffle tickets. Oops,
*opportunity drawing* tickets. (I belong to an NPO and we're not allowed to
have raffles but we can have opportunity drawings. Please don't ask me what
the difference is. I'm stumped on that one myself. I call them a $5 donation
to the cause.)

I made sure the OP understood I wasn't directing my comment at him but to
anyone in general who thinks they are going to get professional templates
for free. You get what you pay for.

And can I pass on the frozen boot thing? My feet get cold so easily. :)

I have Googled, and not found too many things.

Specificly, I am looking for Tri-fold or Direct Mail Tri-fold brochure
templates.

Thanks,

Keefe

I'd suggest taking one of the templates supplied by MS and tweak it to your
liking. Hit the web to see if you can find any brochures that you do like.
Figure out what makes it work for you. Is it the colors, the fonts, the
general layout - what makes it say to you "Buy Me!" or "Use Me"? (And if you
can figure out what makes a piece of paper talk to you, send me some of
whatever it is you're taking!)

I take it you have already tried the built-in Publisher templates accessible
through File > New?

Templates are publications that are designed to just be opened up and edited
to fill in the information you want.

If it's ideas you're looking for, templates probably aren't what you need.
Find some good tri-fold brochures from respected companies, and look at
design elements in those instead.
