Publisher to PDF-what are the steps

L

Laura

I hear much talk about being able to convert a Publisher
document directly to a PDF using Adobe Acrobat.
I have Publisher 2000. What are the actual steps in doing
this?
In the past, I have pasted my Publisher document into
Microsoft Word, and then converted the Word document into
a PDF.
Thanks.

File > Print
Select Acrobat Distiller from the list.
Depending on your version of Acrobat, you may need to open the file created
with Distiller.

ARGH! Laura, why would you take the extra step of pasting a Publisher
file into Word? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of using
Publisher instead of Word?

Some people don't realise that the PDFMaker add-in in Word and PowerPoint
aren't the only ways to use Acrobat to make a PDF.

Oh - and I never used that. I just use Adobe Acrobat. Silly me.

Acrobat adds the add-ins for Word and PowerPoint - they're quite useful if
you have a lot of links in your document, as it preserves those for you, so
you don't have to recreate them in the PDF.
