Question about Resource Graph

Is there a way to cutomize the resource graph in such a way that you can
'graphically' see the tasks that contribute to the demand?

Split your screen : Window/ Split...
- Top : Resource graph
- Bottom : Gantt Chart

Nb : The Gantt Chart in the lower part will display the tasks of the
resource selected in the upper part.

That's close to what I am looking for but not quite. I was actually hoping
that I could see the task allocations within the resource graph itself, not
separately. In this case I am using MS-Project desktop as a 'portfolio
management system'. I represent projects as tasks. That is why I would then
like to be able to look at a specific resource (generic resource in this
case), and see how it is being consumed by the different projects (i.e.
tasks) in my model. Let me know if you know of a way to do this.
