re-installing Office XP professional

K

keith Kenworthy

I am moving from the east coast tothe west coast. I
installed officeXP professional on my desktop computer
and my laptop. I uninstalled it from my laptop as I have
purchased a new one when I moved. When I tried to
reinstalled it on the new laptop I got an error message
and it told me I only had 40 more usages before it is
deactivated. I know that you are allowed 2 installs with
OfficeXP professional. What can I do to get my 2nd
installation again.

Thanks

Hi, keith,

Go through the Activation Wizard again and use the telephone method of
activation and speak to an operator. They can help you activate the product
on your new laptop.

Susan, nobody replied to a post of mine from yesterday asking how to
fix a broken 2000 Access install. I had a disc crash (bad cable
connection) and lots of stuff got messed up. It's all working fine now
except Access keeps telling me that I need to install a feature and
when I put in the Office disc it fails because it can't find (I think)
system.mdb. Uninstall and reinstall doesn't help. Something must be
left over in the registry I guess.

Any idea what to do?
