Read only files

I've just finished a PowerPoint presentation - to be shown on Thursday 27th Nov! but when I try to save it to re-writable CD-ROM a message tells me that it's read only. Why? I've tried saving under a new file name but the same thing happens. Urgent help please.

Cathy,

Save the presentation to your hard drive then use your cd-burning software
to write it to CD.

CD-ROM's are read only.....the ROM stands for Read Only Memory.
