Reading Layout in Office 2003

Andrea

I'm using Office 2003 with Windows XP SP2 and whenever I open an Outlook
attachment, which opens in Word, I get the annoying Reading Layout. I keep
unchecking the "Open in Reading Layout" option, but it keeps getting checked
again. Is there a way to get rid of this option permanently? Thanks.

Open Word directly, unchek the box, close WORD.

I've now done this countless times, but the box gets checked again and
attachments open in Reading Layout. My Word files do not automatically open
this way--just Outlook attachments.

Open Word, UNset the Reading Layout checkbox, close Word. (Do NOT do it
when it was opened by Outlook)

I understand what you're saying--and I have done this in Word and not
through Outlook--but the problem persists!

perhaps you have interfering software installed? Acrobat 7.0? Try
Updating it to the latest patches. Also after making Word changes, hold
down the shift key, select File, and then select "Save All"
