Reassigning Task

We are trying to see if we can use Resource Manager to reassign tasks
assigned to generic resource to a named resource. I know how to Reassign
task from My Work section. however, the problem is seeing task assigned to
generic resource.

I have defined a basic RBS with two generic resources under a Resource
Manager. I then built an Enterprise Team using a few named resources and the
two generic resources under the Resource Manager. I then assigned generic
resources to tasks. Idea is that Resource Manager will then substitute
generic resources with named resources.

However, when I log into PWA using Resource Manager I do not see the task
assigned to generic resources. Is there any way to see this tasks from PWA
and then re-assign them to named resources besides having PM do it?

In a situation like yours, I recommend that you use "Generic-like" resources
rather than true Generic resources. By Generic-like, I mean that you create
Work resources that carry a Generic name, such as SQL Server DBA, but for
which you do NOT select the Generic checkbox. This means that for each of
them, you can specify the resource manager in question as the Default
Assignment Owner, which means that he/she can see the tasks for the
Generic-like resources on his/her My Tasks page and can reassign the tasks.
