Receiving OK, but outbox/sending not functioning

Having problems sending emails with outlook 2000/2003.
Outbox will not clear and one email creates "3 (sending)
tasks". (sending errors and SMTP problems indicated)

Outlook Express however, works with no such problem on
the same desktop.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

same problem here. very odd for me in that it seems to
only happen on one of seven email accounts in Outlook
2003. the other six seem to work fine. and, yes, outlook
express seems fine for all seven accounts. things have
been pretty quirky since i installed Office 2003 ten days
ago. i'm hoping this thing can be remedied since Outlook
2003 is far superior to Outlook Express for organizing
email. i'll keep a look out in this discussion group.

Using Outlook 2003, can you turn on diagnostic logging (see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q300479) and post
the OPMLog.log file after you have this problem with sending?
