Reinstalling Office 2000 Premium on new computer

I recently had to replace my PC and the new one has Works 7.0 installed at
new. This does not appear to be a qualifying microsoft product. Does anyone
know if there is a way to install my Office 2000, or have I now got to
purchase a new, more up to date product?

Although Works 7.0 is newer than Office 2000, it is possible to
use it as a qualifying product for the Office 2000 upgrade. You
must call Microsoft product support for the "fix" to make Office
2000 recognize a newer version of Works, and Microsoft will
charge you for a technical support call because Office 2000 is an
older product for which the free support period has ended. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=210437 "OFF2000: Products That
Qualify for the Microsoft Office Upgrade" for more information.

Alternatively, you can upgrade to Office 2003 (Works 7.0 is a
qualifying product for the Office 2003 upgrade). See

for the Office 2003 upgrade" for more information.

Many thanks for this. It confirms my thought that it would cost me somewhere
along the line!
