Reinstalling Office 2003 on New Computer

I am about to get buy new computer with Windows XP and want to use my current
Office 2003 on it. Does uninstalling Office 2003 on the old computer do this
or is additional action required? If so, what?

Let me be more specific. Will this free up the Product Key so the software
can be activated on the new computer properly? If not, what does this?

MS doesn't know that you've uninstalled it. If the key doesn't work, select
the telephone activation option.
