Reschedule past-due tasks

R

RH

Good day all, what is the best way to automatically reschedule work
that is past-due?

I tried the following:

- Leveling: it still levels in past dates
- Change project start date and then level: it adjusted only
that tasks that have not started yet. Any task with any
amount of actual work did not change.

Any other way?

Hello RH,
Have you tried the following:
- Set the status date : Project / Project information / Status date...
- Tools / Tracking / Update Project / Reschedule remaining work...
after...the Status date
Hope this helps,

And remember that "Reschedule remaining work" only moves the hours
remaining to occur after the Status Date. If work was scheduled to take
4 days, and 2 days in, 25% of the work is complete, it's going to take
a lot more than 2 additional days to complete. Project doesn't account
for this. The PM/scheduler has to do that.

Good day Gérard, this is brilliant. Thank you.

BTW, setting the status date did not seem to make a difference. I am
using MPP 2003, and there is a date in the Update Project dialog.
