Resizing Excel Spreadsheets

[Frustrated]

I am putting together a Powerpoint presentation and am trying to embed an
Excel spreadsheet. I add the object, resize it, click within it to expand
the window to include all of my columns and rows and when I click outside of
the object it automatically resizes the contents and no longer shows all of
my rows and columns.

I thought I had a work-around a couple yearsa ago but can not remember it.
Anyone know how to fix this so I can display all of my rows and columns?
