Resource Breakdown Emails

It was suggested that I ask this question here:

I have setup the RBS. Emails to specific resources works fine. Emails to
their direct manager works fine. However, what I want to be able to do is
email two to three levels up. Example: Employee works for Manager who works
for District Manager who works for Regional Manager. Is there a way to have
the Regional Manager get an email when the employee task is late - even
though the employee is two levels down on the RBS?

Hi,

Yes. However you will need VBA code to read the higher level names and a way
of getting their email address from the database then to send the email. I
presume the regional manager only wants notifying if specific milestones are
late not if any task is late?? If so you also need a Custom field to be set
to indicate what level to email to.

The code you need will vary depending on the email systems you use and
whether manual intervention security prompts are ok or not. So I suspect no
one will have suitable code out there, you will need to develop it yourself
or pay someone to do it.
