Resource scheduled 40 hours in one day

I've got a curious problem that is probably easily
solved. I'm pretty new to project so excuse me if this is
overly simple.
I have set up a project with about 8 resources. When I
originally set up the project I set resource "A" to do
multiple tasks and it naturally kicked out the tasks based
on that resources availability. But since I have updated
the project, unstarted and unfinished tasks are assigned
to that resource to happen concurrently. I don't want to
add dependencies to the tasks as they are not dependent on
each other to finish. Why is project scheduling my
resource to work on 15 tasks with 4 hour durations each on
the same day??

Hi Tom,

If your question is Why? the answer is "because you didn't ask for more"
How to ask for more?
Tools, resource leveling, read some help and try... it works great.

Resource leveling was one of the first things I tried. I
thought maybe it was an option setting that might be
messing things up.

So overallocations disappeared, didn't they?
