In the Resource Usage view, is ithere a way to Highlight Summary level on the
Timescale (right) pane?

The Group By nicely highlights the Left side only...

Hi Gérard ,

If I'm doing it right, that seems to change the Cell background of all rows.

I want to highight ONLY the summary (like the left side does) rows.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Right click on one of the rows that corrospond with a resouce name, then
choose detail styles. In the detail styles area, click on the "all resouce
rows". With that selected, change the font or the cell background as needed.
What this will do, is change the font and or background of only the resouce
level rows on the time scale part of the view.

bikerjohn,

Thanks, but...

Al that seems to do is change the detail row.

I have a couple of levels of "Group By" and would like each to have it's own
color.

Am I doing something wrong?

Other than what I suggested, I can't think of anything else without using
some vba code. I am pretty sure, I understand what you are trying to do and
I tried to simulate doing the same. I cannot get just the summary rows for
resouce groups to change color eithor.

Mike,

That's a shame. I so want Project to behave more like Excel.

Thanks for the bad new / update; :)

You're welcome, Mark :) The tables in Project are becoming more
Excel-like, but the timescale areas are nowhere near. The way the calendar
bits can be zoomed seem to be unique to Project and are certainly far
removed from anything Excel can do.
