Resource usage report problem

Dave

When I run a report to show resource-material usage some of the tasks show
the units in hrs. All of the tasks have material resources assigned to them
so I don't understand why the units are displayed as hours. If I sort the
report the hrs are shown for different tasks. It seems what ever tasks are
on top of a page get the hrs displayed in them instead of just the number of
units. How can I correct this problem.

Thanks in advance

Hi Dave

what version of Project and have you applied service packs (if any)? - to
check, choose Help / About on the menu
which particular report are you running?

Hi Dave

i'm not seeing the same problem here with Project Standard 2003 - using the
Resource Usage (Material) report .. is this the same report you're looking
at? the only units i'm seeing in this report are the material labels against
the resource name, none of the values assigned to tasks have units.

Yes, that is the report I'm viewing. The first 3-5 tasks on each page show
the units as hrs

Hi Dave,

Sorry to say this, but I can also reproduce the exact problem you note in
both Project 2002 SP-1 and Project 2003 SP-1. I know that is of little or
no help. When I experiment it appears the last page of the report resorts
to showing the "hours" label after material resources. I have tried editing
the report in a number of different ways and cannot still resolve the
problem.

The best answer I have been able to arrive at is to print the resource usage
view (with the filter Resource-material) applied and skip the report
completely.

Hope this helps.
