Resources showing red

Patrick

What can I do to be able to use the full day when assigning resources to a
task?

For example, a resource is available 100% and is assigned to a task for 6
weeks (or 30 days) but when you look at the total work effort days, it shows
29 days. When I manually adjust to fully utilize the whole day (from the 1st
and last week) to display 30 days, it comes up red. Why is it showing
overallocation?

I changed the leveling to 'minute by minute' but that makes no difference.
It appears that you need to allow 'free' time before and after a task.

Hi Patrick,

First, forget leveling, that is a different animal altogether.
Does the duration field show 30 days?
Does the Work field show 29 days?
Or is either one of these values the result of a calculation YOU did?

Duration shows 30 days and work shows 29 days (actually 29.88).

I would then manually adjust (more rounding off) to make it show 30 days in
the work field but it comes up red; the best I can do without showing red is
29.99.
